Making fishing better in the northern Oconto River watershed.
The “Go Fund Trout” is the Chapter’s focus to raise funds to stock trout in the northern main Oconto River at public access points from Suring to County BB south of Gillett. This stretch of Oconto has less than ideal cold water for trout reproduction and is stock able with WDNR permit. This project was started by Chapter in 2015 and has been one of the most appreciated and most popular of all the many things the Oconto River Chapter participates in.
The Chapter starts the fund with $1000 and seeks $2500 in donationswith a goal of $3,500 by April 20th, 2025. Trout (10-14 inch) purchased will be stocked in late April.
