Chapter Meeting: Tuesday, September 9 – 7pm

You are invited to attend an informational meeting. Topics will include a summary of Summer Stream Projects, an update on the Suring Sportsman’s Club youth event, the Northwoods TU Forest County report, progress on the Underhill Handicap Fishing Pier, and planning for the December 9th meeting and holiday event. Accessible Fishing Pier added at Underhill Park

The project to install a handicap accessible fishing pier on the Oconto River at Underhill Park was led by Bruce Kitzman of the Oconto County Sportsmen’s Alliance, in collaboration with the Town of Underhill. Read more >>

Joseph Adams Awarded the 2025 Don Wagner Memorial College Scholarship

Joseph Adams of Oconto Falls, a Forest Management major at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, received the Chapter’s Don Wagner Memorial College Scholarship on May 13. Joe enjoys the outdoors and is very active in it. Read more >>

Layman Wocking Awareded Member of the Year

An active member of Trout Unlimited for many years became more active after retirement. Wocking, who has a large pond on his property, has hosted many fishing events for the Chapter. Read more >>

Life Sports – Fishing Segment at GHS

On Friday May 16, 2025, the Chapter was invited to help teach students from Gillett High School how to cast a fly rod. The opportunity arose as part of the “Life Sports” Class taught by Mrs. Jill Halla. Read more >>

Northern Oconto River Trout Stocking

The Chapter’s Go Fund Trout Stocking funding donations program exceeded our goal for 2025. Again, with the help from DNR Fisheries Biologist Tammie Paoli and Jerome Winkle at Silver Moon Springs we were able to obtain a trout stocking permit for the northern Oconto River. Read more >>
